Connecting to WrightLink

You can connect to WrightLink using either the FirstClass Client software or your web browser. In order to access the new desktop and applications, you must install the latest FirstClass software. To download and configure the FirstClass Client software, click here .

To access WrightLink using your web browser, you can either click the Login link on the left sidebar or navigate your web browser to wrightlink.wrightinst.edu.

Your WrightLink Desktop

After you successfully log in using the latest FirstClass client software, you will see your WrightLink desktop, similar to this:

New features include the Enhanced Toolbar across the top, the navigation panel on the left, and the application icons arranged in an inverted L around the Wright Institute logo.


The FirstClass Applications

FirstClass 8.3 gives users much more visibility to the breadth of applications available within FirstClass. An overview of new or enhanced applications is provided below, along with brief descriptions of how they work.

Share your calendar and invite other users to events.

Address mail to anyone in your Contacts folder the same way you do for anyone listed in the Directory.

Use the new Documents application to create and store FirstClass documents.

This new application can be used to store any personal files. These can be uploaded files, links to internal and external information, FirstClass documents, messages, or any other file.

Deleted or expired objects will appear in the Trash Can for the length of time specified by the system administrator. Undelete items from the Trash Can or drag items from the Trash Can to other folders on your Desktop, thereby undeleting them.

A workspace is a user-created space that can be used for a wide range of activities such as managing projects and activities, sharing files and documents and so on. Invite other users in to share a workspace.

Easily create a personal web site including regular web pages, blogs, and even podcasts in this folder. Content created here can be rendered directly to the web.

Use the Bookmarks application to store, manage, and use internal and external bookmarks/favorites. Import bookmarks directly from a web browser.

This application provides a set of help files that explain many of the basic tasks users will want to perform.
